Setting out from the traditional village of Sirigu, which is famous throughout Ghana for its strikingly painted and uniquely constructed adobe homes, we take a short detour through the nearby village of Kazigu to meet with a women’s farming group and tour their admirable reforestation project outside the village. From here, we continue on to Ghana’s northern border with Burkina Faso, where you’ll be swept up in the ancient traditions and cultures of Ghana’s north at Paga Pio’s palace, residence of the chief of Paga and home to enchanting traditional architecture, art, and artifacts.
